Prasad Anjangi (Ph.D.)

Brief Biography

Prasad Anjangi received his Ph.D. in Electrical & Computer Engineering from National Unversity of Singapore (NUS) in 2017 and joined Subnero (an innovative startup contributing to the future of underwater wireless technology) as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow. He is currently serving as a Research Scientist and is part of core team at Subnero Pte. Ltd., Singapore.

Prior to that he received M.Tech. degree in Biomedical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay, India, in 2009 and a B.E. degree in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering from Andhra University, Andhra Pradesh, India, in 2007.

He worked in semiconductor industries with Atmel (now Microchip) and STMicroelectronics as Firmware and Senior Design Engineer, respectively, from 2009 to 2012 and contributed to IEEE 802.15.4 standard's implementation among many other wireless technologies such as Zigbee, smart grid and smart street lighting technologies.

Prasad's current main research interests include underwater wireless communications and networking, acoustic signal processing, underwater positioning and localisation algorithms, applied machine learning and underwater internet of things (UIoT).

Dr. Anjangi has served in technical program committee of WUWNet (International Conference on Underwater Networks & Systems) and is a reviewer of many journals and peer-reviewed conferences including IEEE Journal of Oceanic Engineering, IEEE Transactions on Communications, IEEE Internet of Things Journal, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics, IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing, IEEE UComms, IEEE Oceans etc.
